Fratelli Tallia di Delfino Fabrics
Fratelli Tallia di Delfino
A Biella mill since 1903 — 120 years of fine wool drapery, Italy's Historical Trademark, and a little actual gold woven into the cloth.
One family, one valley, 120 years of cloth
In 1903 Delfino Tallia founded a fine drapery mill at Strona, in the Strona valley of Biella. In 1921 his sons founded the Fratelli Tallia di Delfino company, specializing in the fabric trade; by 1933 the two branches merged into a market-leading wool fabric producer. In the 1960s the company industrialized with Italy's economic boom while still supplying the most prestigious Italian ateliers — and in the 1970s its Linea Uomo magazine became a leading reference in Italian tailoring.
In 2008 Tallia di Delfino joined the Marzotto Group, the largest European textiles group and world leader in wool. The house keeps pushing: a 24K collection blending the finest wools with 24-carat gold (2011), the Saks Fifth Avenue Fabric No. 1 Award with The Woolmark Company (2013), and in 2022 inclusion in Italy's register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest — for italianità, tradition, and bond with the territory.
