Holland & Sherry

Savile Row, London · Est. 1836

The last of the great London cloth merchants — supplying the world's finest tailors for nearly two centuries, and a cornerstone of the b.spoke cloth library.

The Heritage

Nearly two centuries of the world's finest cloth

Stephen George Holland and Frederick Sherry opened as woollen merchants at 10 Old Bond Street in 1836, dealing in fine woollen and silk cloths. By the turn of the century they were exporting worldwide — and of all the great cloth merchants of London's Golden Square era, only Holland & Sherry remains, having gathered nearly twenty other wool houses along the way.

They are pioneers by habit: among the first to chase ever-finer luxury fibres — Super 240s, pure cashmere, and the first to worsted-spin vicuña. Their cloths are still woven the time-honoured way, to assured quality and good taste.

It starts with the fibre
