From Bogotá to Piazza Nicola Amore
In the early 1900s Vincenzo Caccioppoli left Naples for Bogotá, Colombia, with his eldest son Raffaele, importing clothing fabrics and opening the ‘Almanacen Italia’ shop in Plaza Bolívar. After the First World War, father and sons returned home and opened the historic Caccioppoli shop in Piazza Nicola Amore — still the company's headquarters a century later.
Caccioppoli is a merchant, not a mill — and proud of it. Every cloth is designed in Naples and ‘strictly produced in Italy by the best wool mills in the Biella area, made exclusively for us.’ From the 1950s the house supplied Naples' great tailors; today the fourth generation carries the personalized selvedge to ateliers in London, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and New York — with 24/48-hour cut-length service to bespoke tailors.
